General Features and Functioning

The metering valves have two concentric locks that consent two different flow rates in order to optimise duration and precision of dosage. The components are selected one at a time automatically. The dosage is carried out with 4 thresholds in order to reduce the flow-rate when the right weight is getting near. During the last dosing step the flow is reduced till 0.1g drops. All the thresholds should be planned autonomously by software for each component. All the valves have a recirculation way always open to the storage. The software provide, at settable times, to start pumps and mixers for recirculation and mix products in pipes and drums (or different storage’s). If requested is possible to install all the electrical equipment in Ee-xd or Ee-xi construction

The metering head has a “slice” structure with the valves putted on two concentric radius. This solution permit the positioning of an high number of valve in little space.

The positioning of the selected vale is made through the rotation of the head. The right position is determined by proper metal pegs in correspondence of each valve “felt” by a specific sensor.

When the head has been positioned the metering cycle is started. The movements of the selected valve is controlled by a pneumatic cylinder with double position. All the valves are single acting with return by spring and normally closed.
